Local Fund looking to recruit a "voice for younger people" to help deliver funding for local community groups
RWE's Goole Fields Wind Farms community fund is now worth over £250,000 each year. The fund makes an important contribution to the success and vitality of local community projects across the local area.
The fund has a panel made up of local volunteers who make decisions about how the funds are spent. The panel is supported by the rural team from the council and has been up and running for four years.
The panel is now looking for a new member to join its ranks.
The panel is looking to the future and is very keen to ensure the panel includes young people, so would particularly like to hear from people who are 18 or over and/or those who work with young people.
Typically, all panel members have a keen interest and involvement in community issues and activities and want to see the fund make a real difference to their community now and in the future.
Katy Woodington, community investment officer at RWE, said: "This is an exciting time for the Goole Fields Wind Farms community fund and I would encourage any young person interested to consider getting involved."

Closing date for applicants who wish to join the panel is midnight Sunday, 4 September 2022.
