Develop a mental health strategy for the workplace

It's easy to promote health and wellbeing at work. Not only does it help staff be happier, more productive and increase attendance, the business has a better brand image, retention and recruitment.

Encouraging health and wellbeing in the workplace doesn't mean rounding up everyone in the office and going for a jog at lunchtime (unless that's what you all want). Health and wellbeing is lifestyle choices that help us look after ourselves at a physical, mental and emotional level.

Become a mental health champion!

Mental health training that you can trust - delivered by experts.

Hull and East Yorkshire Mind is happy to be working alongside East Riding of Yorkshire Council to provide up to 200 FREE places on a series of Mental Health Awareness Workshops.

The training will enable individuals to become local Mental Health Champions, and raise awareness of mental health in the local area. The workshop will also better equip individuals to spot the signs of poor mental health, to support someone who is struggling with their mental health, and to signpost them to the most appropriate service.

Talk Suicide

Anyone can suffer from suicidal thoughts but every one of us can make a difference.

A life is lost through suicide every two hours in the UK but suicidal thoughts and feelings affect thousands of us every single day.

The #TalkSuicide campaign has been created by the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership to reduce the stigma around talking about suicide by raising awareness of free suicide prevention training available from the Zero Suicide Alliance.

As part of the #TalkSuicide campaign, we are encouraging local businesses to get involved and allow employees to take the Zero Suicide Alliance training.
